No Prep RC Drag Racing

WHAT IS NO PREP RC DRAG RACING ?

The track length is 132 feet (scale ¼ mile) We call this no prep meaning we only sweep/blow/clean the racing surface, no traction additive is applied to the surface, which makes power management and driving the keys to fast consistent runs.
The no prep drag racing scene is by far one of the hottest new segment in RC this year. We are seeing lots of people converting different types of vehicles, like short course trucks, and modifying them for drag racing. There has also been a drag car released, namely the Team Associated DR10M which is specifically meant for the no prep scene.
All are welcome to come check out any event. Bring a 1/10th scale car even if your not shooting for a spot on the list, you can race for fun or just swing by and watch for a bit and take a good look around and enjoy the hobby of No Prep RC Drag Racing.

JUST 4 FUN
CLASS

The Just For Fun class is intended to provide an entry level class for participants to become familiar with NPRC. While racers will run heads up against other Just For Fun participants, there will be no class winner named – after all, this is Just For Fun.

**Note – This is a dry tire class. No tire prep of any kind is permitted. Tire conditioning and cleaning allowed.**

STREET OUTLAW CLASS

fastest growing segment of RC competition called No Prep Street Outlaw Drag Racing. No Prep means that the racing surface is left unprepared to simulate normal street conditions (although blowing it off is acceptable). Street Outlaw means that each model must have a body that mimics an actual car you could drive on the street. In each elimination round, two cars line up behind the starting lights and go on green. The winner is the one that arrives first at the end of a 132-foot long scale drag strip that would stretch 1/4 mile in real life.

BRACKET CLASS

Speed costs, so how fast do you want to go? We’ve all heard that old saying.  In bracket racing, speed isn’t the deciding factor in who wins a race at his favorite drag strip on a Saturday night, and neither is the amount of money one guy has in his race car over another. In bracket racing, everyone is, in a sense, equal. Here, consistency is the name of the game, not by how many car lengths you can outrun your opponent. Be consistent both at the starting line and the finish line in a bracket race, and you’re liable to go home a winner on that particular race day.

Thank you to all the amazing sponsors who support DieHardRC and help make the park available to the RC Community!
